This Privacy Policy governs the entire Saloonat ecosystem, including the Saloonat Customer Mobile App, Saloonat Vendor Mobile App, Saloonat Partner Web Portal, and Public Marketplace Services.

We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring transparency in how personal, operational, and financial data is handled, complying strictly with Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), UAE privacy frameworks, and international security benchmarks.

2Information We Collect

Customer Account Data

  • Name, mobile phone number, and email address
  • Appointment history, scheduled services, and salon favorites
  • Tokenized payment methods (never raw card credentials)
  • Customer reviews, ratings, and service feedback

Vendor & Salon Business Data

  • Business trade name, commercial registration (CR), and licensing
  • Branch addresses, GPS coordinates, and operating hours
  • Bank settlement details (IBAN) for payout disbursements
  • Staff profiles, service menus, pricing, and portfolio imagery

3Mobile Device Permissions

The Saloonat mobile apps request specific device capabilities strictly to enable essential functionality:

Location (When In Use)
Used in the Customer App to discover nearby salons and launch turn-by-turn directions, and in the Vendor App to calibrate branch geocoding.
Camera & Photo Library
Used in the Vendor App to capture and upload salon showcases, staff photos, and verification documents; used in Customer App for profile avatars.
Push Notifications
To deliver real-time booking confirmations, automated appointment reminders, and vendor queue updates.

4How We Use Information

We process collected data exclusively to:

  • Facilitate appointment bookings and real-time schedule synchronizations.
  • Execute seamless, secure payments through local and international payment rails (Mada, Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard).
  • Prevent fraudulent transactions, enforce community standards, and authenticate vendor identities.
  • Deliver proactive customer service, dispute resolution, and platform technical support.

5Data Sharing & Third Parties

When you confirm an appointment, only the details strictly necessary to fulfill the service (client name, contact phone, service selection, and appointment slot) are shared with the booked salon. We never sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

6Data Security & Storage

Bank-Grade Encryption Protocols

All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3, with data at rest secured via AES-256 encryption. Payment card handling is strictly handled via PCI-DSS certified gateways regulated by regional monetary authorities.

7Your Rights & Data Deletion

You retain full control over your personal data. You have the right to request access, correction, or permanent deletion of your account and associated records at any time directly through the app settings or via our legal support desk.

Account Deletion Standard: Upon account deletion request, profile credentials and stored tokens are wiped permanently, retaining only legally mandated fiscal audit records for statutory periods.

Saloonat operates in full compliance with Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree No. M/19) and its executive regulations, the E-Commerce Law, and the UAE Federal Decree-Law on Personal Data Protection.
